Faculty of Arts and Humanities Studentships
The Faculty of the Arts and Humanities at the University of East Anglia is pleased to announce the availability of 4 Home/EU MA funded studentships for entry in 2016/17. For UK residents awards consist of fees (£7,150) and a tax-free maintenance grant (equivalent to Research Councils UK RPM rates which in 2015/16 was £9,681. The 2016/17 figure will be announced soon shortly) and for EU residents awards are on a fees only basis (£7,150). All applicants will be assessed on the merit of their full application (which includes one academic reference). Applicants wishing to be considered for these studentships should apply for a place on a Master's programme in the Faculty by 15 March 2016 and hold an offer by 31 March 2016, therefore early applications are recommended. This funding is part of the University’s commitment to developing and enhancing postgraduate education in all disciplines of the Arts and Humanities.

We highly value our Alumni at UEA, so a 10% fee reduction scholarship is available to graduates looking to stay with us or return for postgraduate study in September 2016. The following scholarships will be available to MA and MRes students in the School of Politics, Philosophy, Language and Communication Studies, who are looking to start their course in September 2016:
We are offering two scholarships worth 50% of tuition fees for academic excellence. Due to funding restrictions these scholarships are only available to UK/EU students.
- £1,000 scholarships will be available for International students who are beginning their course in September 2016. These scholarships will be awarded on academic merit by achieving IELTS (or equivalent) 7.5 overall with at least 6 in each component, and the overall strength of their application.
In order to be considered for any of these awards, applicants should submit their application for an MA or MRes course no later than 31 March 2016. Please note that in order to be considered for a scholarship, applicants do not need to submit a separate application as the scholarships will be awarded on academic merit and the overall strength of the application.
Graduates from our School of Politics, Philosophy, Language and Communication Studies courses at UEA are guaranteed a 20% fee scholarship to return to study for their Master's degree within the School of Politics, Philosophy, Language and Communication Studies.
