Teacher Practitioner UEA School of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacist Norfolk and Norwich University
Sharon obtained her BPharm degree at the University of Wales College Cardiff. She began work at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH) as a basic grade pharmacist, where she also completed a postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy. Sharon then worked as a pharmacist at a large district hospital in northern Namibia with Voluntary Service Overseas (VSO) for two years, before returning to work at the Norfolk and Norwich hospital. Sharon’s main role at the hospital is to support clinical pharmacy services for the vascular surgery department.
Sharon began her Teacher Practitioner role with the UEA School of pharmacy by assisting with delivery of teaching for undergraduates, facilitating student hospital placements and later, becoming Clinical Pharmacy module organiser for pharmacy students from the University of Bergen undertaking an exchange programme with the UEA.
Currently, Sharon’s roles include: providing clinical pharmacy teaching for the pre-reg trainee pharmacist programme, assisting with delivery of teaching to pharmacy undergraduates and pre-registration pharmacy technicians. Sharon is also studying for a Masters in Higher Education Practice (MAHEP) with the UEA.
