Rina studied pharmacy at the University of East Anglia (UEA). Upon receiving her MPharm degree, she undertook her pre-registration training at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH). She went on to complete a Diploma in pharmacy practice and is part way through obtaining a Masters in Higher Education Practice (MAHEP).
Rina was appointed as a lecturer in Pharmacy Practice in 2015 and is a member of the Pre-reg programme delivery team. Her main roles include: developing content and blended modes of delivery of the programme and teaching community pharmacy related topics. In addition, Rina delivers undergraduate teaching for pharmacy students and for the East of England pre-registration pharmacy technician programme.
Rina has a keen interest in blended learning and is the module organiser for the UEA Train the Trainer course which consists of taught and on-line modules. She has also developed a hugely successful and global Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on Dysphagia, in partnership with Futurelearn. In parallel with the academic roles, Rina also remains in practice as a community pharmacist.
