Two UEA pharmacy students elected onto the British Pharmacy Student Association Executive
At the recent British Pharmacy Student Association Annual Conference, two current UEA Pharmacy Students were elected and will be joining the incoming executive for 2019/20. Isobel Lowings, a third year MPharm student has been appointed as Publications Officer, and Katy Beeton, first year MPharm student, as the Eastern Area Co-ordinator. They will begin their mandate in July.
Isobel Lowings said ‘This is an excellent achievement for UEA. Considering that there are 29 different schools of pharmacy in the UK and only 19 executive positions, it is impressive that UEA managed to obtain two places. I am really looking forward to working with the executive as Publications Officer as this will allow me to ensure that pharmacy students are kept informed about the changes happening in our profession, as well as learning more along the way myself
Katy Beeton echoed her excitement to join the executive stating ‘EAC is an amazing opportunity to get experience in team leading. I’ve made some brilliant friends so far, and feel proud to represent the UEA and the pharmacy students in our area.’
