First year Pharmacy student wins prestigious national prize for responding to symptoms
At the recent British Pharmacy Student Association Annual Conference, Katy Beeton, first year UEA School of pharmacy MPharm student, won the prestigious Reckitt Benckiser Responding to Symptoms Student of the Year award 2018/19. This involved winning firstly a contest within the school, then a regional contest and finally a contest at the national BPSA conference. To win this award as a first year student against students from all years from all other schools of pharmacy is an immense achievement.
Katy Beeton was quoted as saying ‘I am so proud to have won this award, not only for myself but for the UEA school of pharmacy. I believe that the school’s focus on pharmacist consultation skills made me feel confident and prepared.’
