Jafar is a researcher within the Accounting Group at Norwich Business School. He attended Virginia Commonwealth University in Virginia, U.S. where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with Cum Laude Honour. He then obtained a Master’s degree in Management with a concentration in Finance from Martin Tuchman School of Management at New Jersey Institute of Technology in New Jersey, U.S.
He is affiliated with American Institute of Certified Public Accountant (AICPA), Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA), and Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS).
Jafar’s current research focuses on the impact of religious societies, where firms are headquartered, on firm’s community and environment ratings of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), supervised by Dr Ricardo Santana and Dr Gaia Melloni. His research interests include CSR, business ethics, corporate governance, and financial reporting.
