Clinical supervision : Teaching and facilitating learning
Are you a new clinical or educational supervisor? Or are you an existing supervisor looking to refresh your skills?
This comprehensive CPD course will give you the knowledge and skills you’ll need to be a competent and successful clinical educator.
You’ll learn the importance of the educational environment, and how to assess the learning needs of students and trainees.
You will learn how to identify learning opportunities , and plan and deliver various types of evidence-informed teaching activities to suit your learners.
You will be provided with suggestions for workplace-based learning and reflection, and some optional reading material to enable you to reflect critically on your own practice. You will be better equipped to evaluate your own teaching/ training activities as part of continuing professional development as a clinical educator.

Suitable for all healthcare professionals with a supervisory role for undergraduate and postgraduate learners in a variety of settings and placements .
This course is also suitable for health professionals including postgraduate medical trainees wishing to build their expertise as clinical educators.
