The UEA Literary Festival Archive is a collection of more than 300 audio cassettes, and video recordings (VHS and DVD) of literary figures being interviewed before audiences at the University of East Anglia. These include readings from the authors’ works. The recordings are part of the British Archive for Contemporary Writing.

To celebrate 25 years of the UEA Literary Festival, we digitised 25 recordings from the incredible archive and will be showcasing them on Twitter. We will be releasing highlights from the last 25 years events, featuring Julian Barnes, Doris Lessing, Salman Rushdie, Alan Hollinghurst and many more.
