This annual scholarship is available for students on the Poetry strand of the MA in Creative Writing and is worth £5,000 to the recipient. All students, whether UK, EU or International, are eligible.
Established by Kate Birch, a friend of the University, the scholarship is named after the Ink Sweat & Tears creative writing webzine run by Kate and edited by Bloodaxe poet Helen Ivory. The recipient is chosen by a panel of tutors on the MA, based on the material submitted in your application portfolio.
The inaugural Ink Sweat & Tears scholar was Eleanor Stewart in 2011. She followed by: Jennifer Grey in 2012, Kate Duckney in 2013, and Brigid Sparks in 2014.
