At UEA, you are in the right place to immerse yourself in literature, drama and creative writing. Our School is a busy and ambitious environment with a strong collegial spirit. It has a long standing reputation for excellent teaching and for the distinction of its academic staff. We are serious and rigorous about literature, and enjoy sharing our interests and intellectual commitments with students. You’ll have many opportunities to connect to your love of reading, writing and performing in the classroom and beyond.
The School has a thriving programme of festivals, events and research seminars and is home to the British Centre for Literary Translation. Here on campus, you’ll see performances from some of the world’s most exciting talents and have the chance to talk with them about their work. Beyond the campus, Norwich is a UNESCO City of Literature, and the National Centre for Writing opened here during 2018.
