Burma/Myanmar Development Research Network
Coordinator: Dr Oliver Springate-Baginski
The aim of this network is to improve understanding of Burma/Myanmar's development as it undergoes a period of rapid transition, and to contribute constructively to the development process.
We seek to achieve this through facilitating international networking of UK, Burmese and other research organisations and individuals in order to: share information, hold meetings and seminars, design and conduct collaborative research, support research students, and publishing research findings
The network held its inaugural seminar in November 2012 at UEA, at which a range of Burmese and UK-based colleagues contributed. A proceedings paper is being prepared for publication.
