Norwich COVID-19 Testing Initiative

An innovative project to test members of staff and students across Norwich Research Park for coronavirus has now concluded. 801 participants took part in the initiative, with 86% of those completing 4 out of 4 of the swabs provided. UEA are leading work to analyse data and will soon disseminate the findings.

Discussions are underway with Norfolk public health and NHS contacts to inform the plans being drawn up to address any second wave of infection this autumn.

The initiative was a result of close-working collaborative efforts from Earlham Institute, John Innes Centre, Quadram Institute, Norwich Research Park, the Sainsbury Laboratory, UEA and Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
