Population Health Research Centre

The Population Health Research Centre is working to build a healthier future for everyone.

Our multidisciplinary research centre, established in 2023, brings together experts from diverse backgrounds including epidemiology, health economics, clinical trials, public health, primary care, statistics and health economics based consultancy.

The Norwich Epidemiology Centre (NEC)

The NEC promotes ‘population-based’, non-intervention, health and social care related academic studies, facilitates access to publicly available, and locally held, health-related and social care databases for the purposes of epidemiological research and provides specific data management and data analyses for associated epidemiological studies.

The Norwich Clinical Trials Unit (NCTU)

A leading academic clinical trials unit that supports health and social care research from grant development through to publication. It is a fully registered UKCRC CTU demonstrating experience in leading design, coordination and analysis of multi-centred randomised controlled trails as well as other well-designed studies.

The Health Economics Group (HEG)

HEG have expertise in a range of technical approaches including economic evaluation alongside clinical trials, decision modelling, value of information analysis and preference elicitation methods such as discrete choice experiments and best worst scaling, plus expert elicitation methods. The Health Economics Group have links with Eastern ARC (a strategic collaboration between UEA, Essex, Kent and Sussex).
