Wednesday 26 June: Poetry Day
A whole day devoted to poetry, both written and performed, with workshops and readings. Discover just how much fun poetry can be with this exciting line-up.
10.30am All Stars Poetry Reading
Once again we have the All Stars Poetry, a huge hit of FLY 2018. Join leading local poets as they read their own work and a selection of their favourite poems. The amazing poets include Martin Figura, Helen Ivory, Jos Smith, Andrea Holland, Tiffany Atkinson, Jeremy Noel-Tod and a very special guest, Joseph Coelho.
And your school can take part!
We're inviting all schools attending Poetry Day to submit a favourite poem that they would like to be read by one of our poets. Three of these will be selected and performed on the day.

12.30pm Workshop with Joesph Coelho
Joseph Coelho, also known as Poetry Joe, is an inspirational and award-winning performance poet, children's author and playwright. In this special workshop, he will demonstrate some of the ways poetry and bring your writing to life. Joseph believes that children and young people have a 'natural propensity for poetry' which should be celebrated and encouraged, and his workshops are known for doing just that. Joseph's books include Werewolf Club Rules and Overheard in a Tower Block.
1.45pm Joseph Coelho performance
Enjoy an engaging performance of some of Joseph's poems.
The Poetry Day is open to all schools in East Anglia and is kindly sponsored by the webzine Ink Sweat and Tears.
