Centre for Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences (COAS)
As of today our new Centre for Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences (COAS) will officially be active. Most of COAS's members are located in the School of Environmental Sciences but we have members in the School of Mathematics and School of Biological Sciences as well.
The main goal of COAS is "To form a nationally and internationally known and recognised centre of excellence in the fields of atmosphere and ocean science, comprising physical, chemical and biological elements."
The first director and deputy director are Roland von Glasow and Karen Heywood, respectively.
A centre web page and information material will be created over the next few months.
