Since 2008, our work has been supported by funding from The British Academy, AimHigher, Sport England, Bedford Physical Education Old Students' Association Educational Fund, UEA Outreach Opportunity Fund and EDUs Pump Priming Research Fund.
We collaborate with researchers from other UK institutions including Loughborough University, Cardiff Metropolitan University and the University of Wolverhampton and are involved in consultancy work on the Get Healthy, Get into Sport project led by Active Norfolk and funded by Sport England which focuses on recruiting sedentary individuals into physical activity.


2013: Bedford Physical Education Old Students' Association (£250): An evaluation of the capoeira and mainstream education project. Principal Investigator: Lee Beaumont; Co-Investigators: Victoria Warburton, Barbara Ridley. 
2012-2013: EDU Pump Priming Research Fund (£1200): The quality of teacher-pupil relationships in Physical Education: A key factor for pupils' achievement, motivation and well-being. Principal Investigator: Victoria Warbuton; Co-Investigators: Lee Beaumont and Sophia Jowett (Loughborough University).
