Legacy Reception at Masterpiece Exhibition, Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts
The annual UEA Legacy Reception took place on the University's campus in November 2013, in the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts. The reception was well attended by alumni and friends of the University who have agreed to leave, or who are considering leaving, a legacy to the University in their Will. The Legacy Reception is an opportunity for the University to show its appreciation and thanks to these generous supporters.
Guests were welcomed to the reception by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Edward Acton, who expressed his delight in welcoming guests back to campus in the 50th Anniversary Year of UEA. Professor Paul Greenhalgh, Director of the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, introduced guests to the exhibition Masterpieces: Art and East Anglia, which presents masterpieces of art from Norfolk and Suffolk throughout history. All guests were able to view the wonderful exhibition, and were offered guided tours from engaging volunteer guides, which had kindly been arranged by staff at the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts. The exhibition has been hugely successful, and enjoyed by many visitors to the UEA campus. The exhibition closes on 24 February 2014.
