Alumni Fund

UEA is in the top five mainstream universities in the National Student Survey – something that we are really proud of. We want to continue to ensure that student satisfaction is a priority and this is where the Alumni Fund comes in. The Alumni Fund (previously known as Student Experience or the Annual Fund) provides resources and experiences to help make studying at UEA as fruitful as possible.

Donations to the Alumni Fund fund all go to help make this happen. UEA Schools and Students’ Union are invited to bid for funding from the Alumni Fund for projects that will enhance students’ time here. Each year, a range of successful bids are supported, ensuring that a wide number of students across campus benefit from the funding.

Previously the fund has supported many different areas, such as projects that help students gain valuable skills and experience for their chosen careers, innovative teaching equipment and facilities, events that provide students with the opportunity to meet and hear from experts in their particular field of study, as well as field trips to provide opportunities that simply would not be possible on campus. These projects are carefully crafted to go beyond everyday learning so that students will be able to take a wealth of skills and experiences with them to use long after they graduate.

The Alumni Disbursement Panel meets annually to ensure that the right projects are supported. The Panel is made up of UEA alumni and individuals from the University, including a representative from the Students' Union.

Applications for the 2015-16 Disbursements are now closed.
