A candidate’s work experience is highly significant and we are looking for applicants with a minimum of three years in a managerial, professional, or entrepreneurial role.

In addition, candidates should normally possess one of the following:

  • First or second class honours degree, or international equivalent, or;

  • Relevant postgraduate diploma, or;

  • Qualification from a professional body recognised by UEA.

Applicants who do not hold a first degree or equivalent will be considered on the basis of their business and managerial experience, their career to date, and their likelihood of benefiting from the course. The final decision is at the discretion of the MBA Course Leader.

Applicants for the Senior Leader Apprenticeship should also hold GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade C or above (or international equivalent) as evidence of Level 2 functional skills – evidence of these qualifications must be provided before enrolment on the course.

Students for whom english is a foreign language

We welcome applicants whose first language is not English, or those whose degree was not taught in English. To ensure such participants benefit fully from postgraduate study, we require evidence of proficiency in English and our entry requirements can be found here.

Interviews

All candidates who meet the above requirements are interviewed as part of the application process, either in person or via Skype. This allows them the opportunity to ask any questions about the course, the School, and anything else they may wish to know that would help them complete their application.

This course is open to UK, EU and International applicants. The next planned intake for this course is September 2021.

Fees and Funding

Tuition fees for the Academic Year 2022/23 are: 

  • UK Students:  £22,550

  • International Students: £22,550

Two year part-time course, £11,250 per annum.

We estimate living expenses at £1,023 per month.

Applicants expressing an interest in the Executive MBA or Senior Leader Apprenticeship for September 2021 should submit a CV and a Personal Statement directly to the MBA Team: mbateam@uea.ac.uk

Your Personal Statement, should be no more than 500 words, and should outline:

  • the contribution an MBA will make to your career progression

  • the experience or qualities you would bring to the course that will benefit your fellow MBA cohort members

The MBA Team will assess and if suitable, arrange an interview. Candidates who are successful at interview will then be contacted by the Postgraduate Admissions Office and invited to complete a formal application form.
