Guidance on report for students registered with the School to transfer from MPhil to PhD (only relevant for students who have registered prior to Oct. 1St, 2015):

The transfer report should be thought of as a mini thesis i.e. have an abstract, introduction, literature review, any papers you have submitted so far, description of the research you are currently conducting (i.e. in the form of draft papers), information on what you are hoping to work on in the remaining 1.5 years of your PhD, a timeline for the deliverables , and a list of references.

To help get an idea of what the transfer report should look like it might be wise to have a look at recent transfer reports.
