UKOUG NextGen

There's never been a better time to join the IT sector...

UKOUG are holding NextGen events (free attendance for students) that are designed to give students, at any level, the opportunity to find out more about working in the IT industry (with a focus on Oracle). They will also be able to submit their CVs for consideration to employers and network with prospect employers at their events, which is an opportunity for any student thinking about life after university.

The nearest event to us is at the University of Cambridge on 23rd May 2014, or for those with friends in the Midlands, they might be willing to travel up to Birmingham City University on 15th May. If students are unable to make it, they can still submit their CV for consideration.

Final year CMP student? Interested in a paid internship or permanent role?

The universities careers service is working in partnership with Epos Now to run a Software Development Master Class on the morning of Friday 30th May.

The morning's activities will involve an introduction to Epos Now as a company, their technologies, working practices and client base. There will then be an opportunity to take part in activities which replicate software development assessment practices, including group design and implementation activities. These are designed to be fun and will be carried out in an informal and relaxed atmosphere. At the end of the mornings event lunch will be provided.

We are delighted to announce an additional dimension to the information and assessment day. Epos Now has confirmed with the university that they are also keen to recruit from the mornings activities! This is therefore a unique opportunity to explore a graduate internship or full time and permanent graduate position from a company based on your doorstep in Norwich.

Positions they are hoping to fill include:

  • Multiple Software/Web Development Internships
  • Software Tester
  • Software Application Developer
  • Web Designer/Developer
  • Database Developer (MS SQL)

Epos Now is a young, vibrant and ambitious business based in the centre of Norwich.  They specialise in electronic point of sale and provide their own branded hardware and innovative software, designed by their in-house development team.

The business is expanding rapidly with turnover increasing by over 300% in the last 12 months and the company has recently been invited to join the East Anglia Archant future 50 for business with the most growth potential.'

Timing of the morning event will be confirmed shortly. If you are interested in attending, to avoid disappointment, please book your place through the following link: Epos Now Information and Assessment Centre
