University of Aden
Early in 2011, the Norwich Medical School hosted a visit by academics from University of Aden
Dr Anisa Abood, Dr Mohammed Shamsan, Dr Nazeeh Bahumaid and Dr Faozia BaShaaib, accompanied by Katherine Miles, arrived in Norwich at the end of February for their week-long stay.
The main purpose of their visit was to observe consultation skills teaching at UEA. In addition, the visitors were keen to find out more about Interprofessional Learning (IPL).
The CIPP Team were delighted to welcome members of the delegation to the Centre and to share with them how the different levels of interprofessional education are delivered to health and social care students within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences.
On their return to Yemen, the visitors commented: "Thank you very much for everyone at CIPP taking the time to talk with [us]. We really enjoyed meeting everyone and hearing about the Centre and your experiences. The Yemeni doctors greatly benefited from their visit to UEA and are keen to put all that they have learnt into practice."
