UEA Award Ceremony UEA Award Ceremony

Every year the UEA Award holds a celebration ceremony for Award students. This is a very special event where students will receive their UEA Award certificates, and will have a chance to share their experiences on the Award including what they have gained and the activities they’ve been part of. Employers who help with the UEA Award also come along and talk about why they are involved in the Award and how the Award can help students in their future careers. We also give special prizes across a range of categories to students who’ve made a great contribution. The event finishes with a buffet and drinks after the ceremony, which marks a perfect opportunity to talk with the wide range of students, staff and employers present.

Last year's event took place on the 16th March, in the Enterprise Centre. For the first time, we included a fun photo booth to help students remember the night in style. We have produced a video of the night below!

We also awarded four special prizes, in addition to awarding students their certificates. This year's winners were:

  • Sam Kenward - Outstanding contribution to campus life;
  • Sophie Armstrong - Outstanding achievement in work or volunteering;
  • Bethany Smith - Outstanding academic attribute development;
  • Bobbi Sleafer Nunes - Best reflective write up.

This year, the UEA Award Ceremony will be on Thursday 8th March 2018 in the Thomas Paine Lecture Theatre.
