Alex Morris took up an internship with Clickers Archery through the UEA Internship Programme, and took part in a project to help improve the company marketing. Alex discusses his experience.
What drew you to become involved in the UEA Internship Programme?
I was drawn to the UEA Internship Programme as it was a good way to gain experience in a business whilst continuing with my studies.
How did your UEA experience help prepare you for your internship?
UEA Career talks made me recognise the need to apply for internships and work as early as possible for the greatest chance of success.
What would you say was the most enjoyable aspect of your role?
The most enjoyable aspect of my role was designing adverts that would be printed in magazines and would have a real impact on the business.
Was there anything unexpected or extra that you gained from your internship?
After completing my internship I was given the opportunity to work part-time for the business whilst still at university.
Would you recommend the programme to others?
I would definitely recommend the internship programme to others. It is a great way to acquire experience in an industry that interests you. It can give you an idea of the career path you would like to take.
