What is First Tuesday?
First Tuesday is the monthly networking meet-up for UEA’s entrepreneurial community. As the name suggests, we meet on the first Tuesday of each month, and our aim is to provide an inspirational, energising forum for networking, peer-to-peer support and creative problem-solving. Our gatherings are free to attend, and we welcome UEA students and graduates who are either starting or running a business, as well as aspiring freelancers.
Special Guest Q&A
Each month we’re joined by an inspirational special guest entrepreneur, who gives fascinating insights about their journey, with the opportunity for you to ask any burning questions you have for them! We aim to bring in experts across various sectors to meet the needs of those who join us each month.
Guests have so far included:
- ‘Making Retail Work Online’ - Will Francis, operations manager of Lisa Angel
- ‘How to Make the Most of Instagram’ - Paul Donati, founder of ethical streetwear startup Catching a Fish in Norway
- Philip Roell and Alex Schroffenegger, Grabbit co-founders
We like to keep things interesting at First Tuesday, so no two meet-ups are the same! However, there are always opportunities to network, and you can put forward any challenges you’re facing to your peers through our creative, solution-focused Mini Mastermind session!
Whether you’re new to the startup scene or already running a business, you’re only as good as your network, so why not join us at the next First Tuesday? Book your place via MyCareerCentral.
Can't make it to the next gathering? Don't worry, you can stay in touch with the First Tuesday community by joining our Facebook group.
