Historians of the Twentieth Century United States (HOTCUS) annual conference      

Friday 26 June - Sunday 28 June 2015

University of East Anglia       

HOTCUS exists to facilitate and promote scholarship in the field of twentieth century American history.  This year its annual conference will take place at UEA from June 26 to June 28. 

The plenary speaker will be Professor Gary Gerstle (University of Cambridge). 

The conference will also host a roundtable discussion on “The American Culture Wars” with Professor Andrew Hartman (Illinois State University) and others to be confirmed. 

Additional panels will cover topics including US foreign policy, American conservatism, race and the American South, the politics of protest, political economy, education history, and political organising.
