Alumni Call Campaign
Each year we try to speak to as many of you as possible in the alumni call campaign. The campaign is your opportunity to speak directly with a current student and find out what UEA is like today. The campaign also raises awareness of areas of need at the University – areas where alumni can make a real difference.
The autumn 2017 Call Campaign will take place in the first three weeks of November.
This year’s campaign is raising support for the following projects:
- Scholarships: so important for the future of UEA since the changes around tuition fees
- Prostate Cancer Research: our world-leading research focuses on the role of genetics, food and diet in the fight against prostate cancer.
- The Alumni Fund (previously known as Student Experience): originally set-up by alumni this fund supports extra-curricular activities and opportunities for students
- Mentoring and internship programmes: key for building students’ employability skills
Our campaign goals are ambitious. We hope to raise a further £15,000 to fund a new prostate cancer research post and enough funds to support 10 new scholarships for talented students who may not otherwise come to UEA. If every alumnus we spoke to in the call campaign gave just £20 we could raise over £200,000 and truly make a difference in each of these areas.
This year we’re seeking regular gifts to help us plan for the future of these important areas. To set up a regular donation you can download a donation form or call the Development Office on 01603 591005. Alternatively, you can also make a single gift online.
Calling takes place on weekday evenings and weekend afternoons in February and March.
The Difference Campaign
UEA was founded to 'Do Different'. Being just like everyone else is an easy path to take. Difference is harder, and it costs. This is why we launched 'The Difference' Campaign. The £100m we aim to raise by the end of 2021 will deliver a margin of excellence in four areas where we believe UEA has truly exceptional strength and potential.
