Researchers and academic staff in the School of International Development engage with a variety of stakeholders at different levels, including development policy-makers and practitioners, government departments in the UK and other countries, non-governmental and civil society organisations (Non-Governmental Organisations and Civil Society Organisations) and community-based organisations. More widely, International Development research seeks to increase understanding of development issues, generating and informing current debates by engaging with non-academic audiences through events and a presence in the media. ‚Äč

The International Development staff engage in a wide range of activities to ensure research findings and expertise go beyond academia to influence development policy and practice.
