We're delighted to offer Primary and Secondary School Direct initial teacher training, in partnership with schools and academies across East Anglia.
This builds on our consistently high OfSTED grades and a long-standing and strong partnerships.
We cover a wide geographical area, with schools and academies in urban, rural and coastal settings. This means we can offer you a broad range of placement opportunities.
What's the difference between School Direct and university-led routes?
If you're offered a place on our School Direct route, you'll know the lead and partner schools where you'll have at least one of your placements.
In 2022-23 UEA will be working with the following School Direct Lead Schools:
- Creative Education Trust
- Litcham School (Part of Synergy Multi Academy Trust)
- Northgate High School
- Thorpe St Andrew School and Sixth Form

How do I apply?
Applications for School Direct places are made through the GOV.UK service called Apply for Teacher Training.
Please note: School Direct applicants will be required to meet the criteria of both the Lead School and the School of Education and Lifelong Learning.
