Teacher training at UEA enables you to gain QTS (qualified teachers status) and a  Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), with 90 Master’s credits. These qualifications provide a solid foundation for the rest of your teaching career.

They will prepare you for teaching in a wide variety of schools and support you in developing your own identity as a teacher.

Our partner schools cover a wide geographical area, from inner city to rural and coastal settings, enabling us to offer you a broad range of placement opportunities.

 

90 Master’s credits

Your Master’s level assignments are directly related to your classroom experience, so you will learn to use theory and research to continually improve your teaching. Assignments are designed to help you to become a knowledgeable, skilled and reflective teacher.

We offer the opportunity to continue your studies, by completing an MA in Educational Practice and Research on a part-time basis.
