PGCE Open Days and Events

Throughout the year, the University of East Anglia will host teacher training open days and events to help you find out how you can train to teach in the Primary or Secondary school age ranges.

Anyone thinking about a career in teaching is welcome to attend - from those making a tentative initial enquiry to those who have already made their decision and are on the verge of making their application.

Our next PGCE open events will be held in-person, at UEA's campus in Norwich on the following dates:

We actively encourage you to contact our PGCE Admissions Team with any queries you may have about your teacher training options, your application, or how to apply. Email edu.pgce.admiss@uea.ac.uk or call 01603 592855.

What happens at teacher training events at UEA?

You’ll have the opportunity to find out more specifically about training to teach at UEA, and how you will be supported by our specialist tutors who are both academics and experienced teachers. Both Primary and Secondary PGCE courses lead to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and 90 Master’s level credits. Alongside having the opportunity to talk with UEA PGCE tutors, members of UEA's PGCE admissions team will also be available to offer advice on all admissions related questions.
