These FAQs are being updated on a regular basis - please continue to check this page for the latest information.

Is the University open and operating as normal?
The University remains open and we will be supporting our campus community.

Sportspark:  In light of the Government’s plea to avoid office, pubs and non-essential travel the Sportspark will close its facilities until at least Friday 3 April to help support the UK’s objective of stopping the virus. This decision will be reviewed as the situation progresses and we will provide further information as soon as it becomes available.

Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts: To protect the health and wellbeing of their visitors, volunteers and staff, the Centre is closed until further notice. All public events are postponed or cancelled. Please visit their website for further information and updates.

UEA Nursery: Following the recent government announcement regarding school closures, the UEA Nursery will close from 5.30pm on Friday 20 March 2020 until further notice.

The Enterprise Centre: The Enterprise Centre has restricted access. The building is open to tenant businesses but is otherwise closed to the public, staff and students. If you are a business based at The Enterprise Centre and have any queries, please contact the team on 01603 591366.

I’m due to attend a UEA event soon – is this still going ahead?
In light of the concern relating to COVID-19 and the increased necessity to contain the spread of infection, UEA has taken the decision to cancel or postpone public events until after the University’s Easter break. This means that events programmed up to Sunday 19 April will not now take place.

We place great value on our public events programme and will continue to monitor the situation carefully. We apologise for any inconvenience this change of plan will cause, and we very much look forward to bringing you news of new dates as soon as possible.
