UEA one of the best UK universities for student experience
The University of East Anglia has been named in the top ten best universities for student experience, for the fifth consecutive year.
Announced in the Times Higher Education Student Experience Survey 2015, published today in the Times Higher Education magazine, UEA has been revealed as the sixth best university in the UK.
The annual poll looks beyond the usual definition of the student experience – comprised largely of teaching, learning, assessment and feedback – to a broader definition, one created by students themselves that includes those aspects of university life that matter most to them.
Undergraduate students across the UK rated their institutions in 21 categories – from teaching quality to social life and accommodation.
UEA Vice-Chancellor Prof David Richardson said: “I am thrilled that UEA has maintained its excellent track record in offering a top-class student experience.
“We are in esteemed company in the top ten and will strive to continue and improve on the efforts of the university to make UEA an exciting and fulfilling place to be. It’s testament to the well-rounded experience UEA and the Union of UEA Students offer in our thriving campus community."
The social, cultural and sporting experience on campus is second to none. The landmark Norman Foster-designed Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts houses the collection of Robert and Lisa Sainsbury and the Sportspark is one of the most extensive state-of-the-art university sports facilities in the UK.
