Interdisciplinary Research on Coral Reefs

Research Interest:

My PhD is an interdisciplinary investigation of the resilience of coral reefs in response to environmental and anthropogenic perturbations. In particular I will be looking for empirical evidence to substantiate implied links between social and ecological resilience. I am particularly interested the resilience of Caribbean coral reef fisheries in response to artisanal fishing, and to the impact of hurricanes. My field work will comprise both social and ecological surveys.
