Barbara Goodwin is Professor of Politics and lectures on democratic Theory, Contemporary political philosophy, Western political thought, ideologies, utopianism, the philosophy of the social sciences and public choice.
She studied PPE at Somerville College, Oxford, and her doctoral work (at St Antony's College) was on utopian socialism. Her current research project is on ethical behaviour at work and other interests include social justice, distributional lotteries, and war crimes.
She was a member of the ESRC's `Participation and Democracy' panel 1998-99.
