Hello, and welcome to my webpage. My name is Peter Hicks and I am a Postdoc at the School of Mathematics at the University of East Anglia.
My research interests include time-dependent solutions of problems in multiphase fluid dynamics. My Postdoc is concerned with droplet impacts, and currently I'm researching the role of air cushioning in the preimpact deformation of water droplets. This problem has applications to the aircraft icing. My PhD was based on the infiltrations of liquid rainwater into a volcanic lava dome.
