Electricity and Magnetism

This course looks to develop and study the mathematical theory that models electricity and magnetism. Electric and magnetic fields are fundamental to many features of life we take for granted (radio waves, light, x-rays, medical scanners) yet the underlying equations are surprisingly compact and elegant. We will study problems involving electrostatics, steady currents, magnetostatics, electromagnetic induction and electromagnetic waves all of which are contained within the governing Maxwell equations.
