Aerosol and Rain Collectors at the Weybourne Atmospheric Observatory

This photograph shows aerosol and rain collectors deployed inside the rabbit-proof cage at the Weybourne Atmospheric Observatory. Two aerosol samplers are shown, one collecting size-fractionated aerosol and the other unfractionated. A funnel is fixed to the rear of the cage for collection of bulk precipitation. We also use an automatic rain collector, which was not at the site when this photograph was taken. Partly hidden behind one of the aerosol samplers is a green box which houses gas phase ammonia and nitric acid samplers.
