ENV2A4Y Geochemical Cycles

Introduction

This web site is intended to give you background information and initial access to web resources relevant to geochemical cycles. The page is written and maintained by Julian Andrews and is by design somewhat idiosyncratic. In places you will get ‘my view of things’. This is not to say they are ‘the only’ or necessarily the ‘right views’. I do, however, share them with you gladly and hope they are helpful. I also sincerely hope you enjoy the course.
You will be able to access knowledge through traditional sources (reading, lectures etc.) and new sources (WWW, intranet, teaching software etc.) There is a great deal of information out there on the WWW. We think it is important that you have access to it. Also remember that there is NO QUALITY CONTROL on the WWW. We will always try to point you to respectable sources of information which should be trustworthy. However, do be careful when surfing. If in doubt ask me or other teachers on the course for advice and help. Now read on.....
  • Introduction Includes notes on background reading, books, practicals, lectures and teaching programme
  • Geochemical Hot Links An index of WWW hot links relevant to Geochemical Cycles
