Load Profile Examples.

These examples were extracted from a presentation given by David Cooper and relate to the 8 different non-half hour metered profiles. Please note that only the two domestic profiles are included at present, the remainder will appear in due course.

These profiles are

Categories 3 and 4 are likely to be small businesses

Some medium size consumers are charged on basis of not only the units used but also the maximum demand. If the demand is relatively constant it is easier and cheaper to supply the electricity and hence the consumers benefit. A load factor is defined as being the actual electricity consumed divided by the electricity which would have been consumed had the maximum demand been continuous throughout the period.

Profile 1 Domestic unrestricted (standard Rate tariff) – The X-axis indicates the half hour period after midnight – i.e. 1 refers to 00:00 – 00:30.

Profile 2: Domestic Economy 7 (two rate) – The X-axis indicates the half hour period after midnight – i.e. 1 refers to 00:00 – 00:30.

 

 

 

Profile 3: Non-domestic unrestricted (non Maximum Demand)

Profile 4: Non-domestic Economy 7 (non Maximum Demand)

Profile 5: Maximum Demand Consumers with a load factor <20%

Profile 6:Maximum Demand Consumers with a load factor 20-30%>

Profile 7:Maximum Demand Consumers with a load factor 30-40%

Profile 8:Maximum Demand Consumers with a load factor >40%
