What does the briefcase do for me?
A number of the tools that that can give you
information on what's on your patch use searchable maps, but some information
information isn't provided in this way.
As well as providing you with a guide and step
by step instructions on how to get the best out of all of the online
information resources available to you, the briefcase also has suggestions and
easy to follow instructions on how to:
- create your own online map
and aerial photo;
- draw out areas and
pinpoint things that you find;
- share your map with
others;
- collaborate on getting
more information on the map; and
- ultimately provide a
definitive map of everything in your Parish for your community, including
anything from nice picnic spots to ancient woodland!.
Everything in the briefcase
is arranged in a series of steps aimed at producing a Parish action plan and
other documentation that is endorsed by the community - but that doesn't mean
you can't dip into the appropriate bits to find out more about what's around
you.
Take me to the bit about mapping tools
