Open Science

The Open Science Proposal is that it would be useful for the scientific community to have a widely recognised Protocol of openness, applying to individual scientific projects. Only a small fraction of all scientific projects would be done according to the required standard of radical openness, but those projects could claim a 'gold standard' of openness. Such projects would permit detailed scrutiny and criticism, and so furnish an efficient route to socially established reliable knowledge.

Open Knowledge

A proposed adaptation of Open Science, focusing on guidelines for knowledge claims.

Nuclear Education

This section includes
- Is That It? an article on what nuclear physics textbooks say, how they say it, and what they don't say about nuclear weapons.
- The Shadow of the Bomb. A study of how 57 nuclear physics textbooks relate to nuclear weapons.
- The Wisdom of Sages. A study on the use of literary quotations in one of those textbooks.
- A Brief Revisionist Note on the History of the Nuclear Age. A note written as background to The Shadow of the Bomb.

Asset and Income Limits

It is time to take seriously the idea of limiting the assets and incomes of humans as individuals. When, on the global scale, the problems over over-consumption and the gap between rich and poor are discussed, the focus is usually on rich and poor nations. Yet, great as is the disparity between the richest and poorest nations, it is dwarfed by the disparity between individuals...
