Our research on leaf-cutter ants is funded by UEA and the MRC. Our research on nitric oxide signalling, secretion and cell surface display and antibiotic resistance is funded by UEA and the BBSRC and we received funding from the Royal Society which helped set up the lab.

  • September 2010: Launched our live feed ant cam.
  • August 2010: Live interview on fungus farming ants on Radio Norfolk.
  • July 2010: Hosting a sixth form student for three weeks work experience.
  • June 2010: 30 minute talk on ‘ant pharming’ to 6th formers from CNS and Wymondham High.
  • June 2010: Biodiversity exhibition at Norwich Cathedral, “Farmer ants and friendly bacteria.”
  • July 2009: Interviewee on Darwin radio series for Future FM, Norwich.
