Closing Dinner - Sainsbury Centre for Visual ArtsSCVA

Sainsbury Centre for the Visual Arts, 'perhaps the greatest resource of its type on any British campus'
(Times Good University Guide for 2003).

On the final evening of the conference we are planning an evening event for all delegates to be held in the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts. Located on the main UEA campus a short walk from the delegate accommodation the SCVA was designed by acclaimed architect Lord Foster and opened to the public in 1978. Having undergone extensive renovations throughout 2004/5 we hope this will be a stunning backdrop to the official close of ICAR2.

The SCVA houses the extensive art collection of the Sainsbury family (famous in the UK for founding a large supermarket chain), conference delegates are able to visit the collections on display.

More information about the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts can be found at www.scva.org.uk
