The School of Social Work and Psychology is a leading academic department dedicated to research and teaching in social work, social policy, psychology and psychosocial sciences. The recent Research Assessment Exercise (RAE) illustrated our research strengths in Social Work, Social Policy and Psychology. 55% of our research was judged to be world leading or internationally excellent, and 90% to have been of international standing. We have an excellent record for teaching with consistently high ratings in the National Student Survey. Social Work at UEA was also rated third in the Independent Newspaper League Table of Universities.
Through knowledge creation in teaching, research and intervention the School of Social Work and Psychology's ultimate goal is to enhance the well-being of children, parents and adults in their families, communities and service user environments.
