Université Laval is a French-language, public research university in Quebec City, founded in 1663. Laval boasts over 42,500 students, 5,600 of which are international, and some 230 student societies and associations.

Quebec City is a UNESCO world heritage site, and is the only walled city in North America. It provides a uniquely European experience overseas, while also allowing access to rugged mountainous countryside and wildlife (think black bear, moose, or whale spotting).
