Costs
Please find estimated costs below. Fees are based on provision of a standard study bedroom. Students choosing an alternative room option will be subject to an additional weekly rental charge. Costs are fixed in pound sterling; local currencies will vary depending on exchange rates.
Exchange students are responsible for all personal costs other than those covered by the agreement between their home institution and the University of East Anglia (generally, tuition costs are covered). Students must verify that they have financial support to cover their entire period of study.
Please note that some agreements include the cost of a standard room; should a student apply for a more expensive room, the student will be personally responsible for the difference in cost.
If your university or college does not appear in the list below, it is likely that you will be on a tuition-only exchange.
| Middlebury College (VT) | tuition, room/board fees paid to home institution |
| Roanoke College (VA) | tuition, room/board fees paid to home institution |
| Occidental College (CA) | tuition and room only paid to the home institution |
| University of Redlands (CA) | tuition and room only paid to the home institution |
Visiting students (tuition fee-paying) apply and enrol directly with the University of East Anglia or through a Study Abroad provider. Depending on the agreement (if any) we hold with your university or study abroad provider, you may either instruct UEA to bill you personally or to send all invoices directly to your University or College (through your personal 'E-vision' account). If unsure about billing procedures, ask the Study Abroad Advisor at your home institution.

^^ Standard rooms are single-occupancy with shared bathroom facilities. University residences remain open to residents through Christmas and Easter vacations, not summer.
* UEA, like most UK institutions, does not offer a meal plan scheme. All accommodation in University residences is self-catering. Students will either cook their own meals in their flat or dine at one of the restaurants located on campus or in the city.
** Living expenses includes books and stationery, clothing and personal expenditure (such as recreation, social activities, UK travel, laundry, etc.). Excluded are meal costs and living expenses outside semester time, return travel to/from the UK and any additional medical or dental insurance.Additional Funding
US Federal Aid (FAFSA) is able to be used towards funding academic programmes outside the United States. Students should consult with the Financial Aid Office on their home campus to determine if a change of school code is necessary. UEA is able to certify loans, including Stafford Loans, Grad PLUS Loans, and Parent PLUS Loans.
