Visa Guidance Notes for Visiting/Exchange Students (for non-UK-citizen applicants from USA, Canada, South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, South Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, Australia, New Zealand)

If you plan to study for one semester and do not wish to work, you may wish to enter the UK as a Student Visitor. This flow chart from the UKBA website may help you to determine if this will meet your requirements.
In order to issue you with a CAS (Certificate of Acceptance for Studies) number so you can apply for a visa we will need the following additional information:
- Passport number
- Passport expiry date
- Country of nationality
- Country of birth
You can provide these details by sending a copy of the photo page of your passport with your Study Abroad application.
