Eastern ARC Opportunities at UEA Eastern ARC Opportunities at UEA

Eastern ARCEastern Academic Research Consortium - is an interdisciplinary partnership between the Universities of East Anglia, Essex and Kent. In support of the developing partnership, Eastern ARC will award 18 fully-funded PhD studentships for entry in 2015/16. Each member university will offer two PhD studentships in each of Eastern ARC's three interdisciplinary subject areas:

Successful candidates will work with academics at their home institution, whilst being in a privileged position to network with academics and postgraduate researchers from across the three research-intensive universities. Provision will be made for students to take advantage of research expertise and training offered across all partner institutions and candidates will play a significant role in supporting the development of Eastern ARC.

These fully funded PhD studentships offer equivalent funding to a RCUK studentship (i.e. tuition fees at the Home/EU rate), a maintenance grant (£13,863 for the 2014/15 academic year) and a research training support grant).

UEA is offering six PhD studentships within these areas. To find out more about the strands and projects, please follow the links below. Please note that the deadline for all UEA Eastern ARC applications is Friday 30 January 2015.
