Learning Enhancement Service

The Learning Enhancement Service in the Dean of Students' Office offers expert guidance on the central academic skills that will enable all students to make the most of their course at UEA.

University is an exciting and challenging environment in which you continually develop new knowledge, understanding and skills. The Learning Enhancement Service aims to help you fulfil your academic potential and succeed as a confident, independent learner. Our tutors provide advice and tuition on the general study skills that underpin your studies, whatever subject you are doing.

Whether you are an undergraduate or postgraduate, full-time or part-time, home or international, first year or final year, concerned about passing your course or aiming for a first, starting or completing your dissertation, the Learning Enhancement Service has a range of ways to help you study effectively, understand your lecturers' expectations and improve your work.

The Learning Enhancement Service is confidential and free to all UEA students. It is available over the vacations. 
 

Library and IT Services

Library and IT Services are provided by Information Services. Campus cards and IT user accounts needed to use these services are acquired by new students at registration. This campus map enables you to locate the Library building in which most of our services and facilities are based.

The Information Services website provides information for new users. This includes descriptions of the services available, quick links to key information and frequently asked questions.

The Library provides workshops and online tutorials to help you learn how to find the information you need. 


Plagiarism


The University requires all students to confirm that their written work is their own, that there is no unacknowledged use of another person’s work and that there has been no unauthorised co-operation between them and another person in the preparation and production of work.
